The PSL 2026 schedule has been officially announced, with Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium set to host both the opening match and the final. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will run from March 26 to May 3.
Fans will witness a historic season as the PSL 2026 schedule introduces an expanded tournament with eight teams for the first time.
PSL 2026 Schedule Expands with Eight Teams
The latest PSL 2026 schedule features 44 matches played across six cities in Pakistan. This marks the first time the league will operate with eight franchises.Along with traditional venues such as Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan, two new cities will host matches. Faisalabad and Peshawar join the PSL 2026 schedule as additional venues.Faisalabad will stage seven matches during the tournament. Meanwhile, Peshawar will host a key fixture on March 28 when Peshawar Zalmi face Rawalpindi Pindiz.
Lahore and Rawalpindi to Host Majority of PSL 2026 Matches
Although the schedule includes more cities, most games will take place in Lahore and Rawalpindi.Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the highest number of matches with 15 games. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will follow closely with 11 matches during the tournament.Combined, the two venues will stage 26 of the 44 fixtures in the PSL 2026 schedule.
Meanwhile, Karachi’s National Stadium will host six matches. Interestingly, Faisalabad will host more matches than Karachi during this edition of the league.
New Format Introduced in PSL 2026
A revised competition format will also appear in the PSL 2026. Unlike previous seasons, teams will not face every opponent twice.Instead, each franchise will play ten matches during the league stage. Teams will meet seven opponents once and three opponents twice.High-profile rivalries remain part of the PSL 2026 schedule. Notably, the Karachi vs Lahore clash will occur twice at Gaddafi Stadium.
Playoffs and Final Set for Lahore
The knockout stage of the schedule will largely take place in Lahore. The first qualifier will occur in Rawalpindi, while the remaining playoff matches will move to Lahore.The PSL 2026 final will take place at Gaddafi Stadium on May 3. Organizers have also scheduled May 4 as a reserve day.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will aim to continue their dominance after winning three of the last four PSL titles.
