His recent T20I form has been outstanding, scoring 249 runs against Pakistan at a blazing strike rate of 207.50. This performance made him the team’s top scorer in the series, now he will look to bring that form in the NZ vs PAK 2nd ODI.
Gary Stead Confident in Seifert’s Abilities
New Zealand’s head coach, Gary Stead, praised Seifert’s form and experience. He acknowledged Chapman’s brilliant knock in the first ODI but remained hopeful about his return for the final game. Stead emphasized Seifert’s value as a top-order option in the NZ vs PAK 2nd ODI.
“It’s disappointing for Mark after his great innings in Napier. Luckily, the injury is minor, and we hope he recovers for the last match. With new faces in the squad, Tim’s experience is a big plus. He’s in top form and strengthens our batting lineup,” Stead said.
