Hardik Pandya Fitness Update Ahead of Asia Cup Final

Concerns around Hardik Pandya’s fitness in Asia Cup 2025 were quickly addressed by India’s bowling coach Morne Morkel. During the Super Four clash against Sri Lanka, Hardik dismissed Kusal Mendis for a golden duck in his first over but then walked off clutching his left hamstring. He did not return to the field for the remainder of the innings.

Morkel later clarified that Hardik suffered only cramps. He added that the all-rounder will be assessed before the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai. India captain Suryakumar Yadav also confirmed the same after the match.

Abhishek Sharma Injury in Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Match

Another concern came when Abhishek Sharma suffered an injury in Asia Cup 2025 against Sri Lanka. He looked uncomfortable while fielding, held his right thigh, and eventually walked off in the 10th over. Medical staff treated him with ice and pickle juice, but he did not return to the field. Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, and Jitesh Sharma stepped in as substitutes at different stages.

With India scheduled to face Pakistan next, recovery becomes crucial. Morkel confirmed that players will avoid heavy training and instead focus on ice baths, rest, and pool sessions.

India’s Recovery Plans Before India vs Pakistan Final

Morkel stressed the importance of recovery ahead of the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final. He explained that the short turnaround after the Super Over win against Sri Lanka leaves little room for intense practice. Players have already started recovery routines that include massages, pool sessions, and proper sleep.

Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana Praised as X-Factors

The bowling coach also praised Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana despite their expensive spells. Together they conceded 100 runs in eight overs, yet Arshdeep held his nerve in the Super Over and secured India’s win. Morkel described both bowlers as “X-factors” who can turn games even with limited match experience.

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Final Set for Dubai

As Hardik Pandya’s fitness and Abhishek Sharma’s injury continue to be monitored, India remains hopeful both will be fit for the high-voltage final. The India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai promises fireworks, and Morkel’s confidence reflects the team’s belief in their preparation.
