Punjab Kings Shift Base to Jaipur
The PBKS vs DC match, which had been interrupted earlier, will be replayed on May 24 in Jaipur, now serving as PBKS’s temporary home. PBKS will also take on Mumbai Indians on May 26 at the same venue. Unfortunately, teams like PBKS, CSK, and SRH won’t play on their original home grounds anymore.
Double-Header Sundays Add More Action
The new schedule includes two double-header Sundays. On May 18, RR face PBKS in the afternoon, while DC take on GT in the evening. A week later, GT will battle CSK in Ahmedabad, and SRH play KKR in Delhi. The final league match will feature LSG vs RCB on May 27 in Lucknow.

International Clashes May Affect Star Players
The new dates clash with the England vs West Indies ODI series, starting May 29. Players like Romario Shepherd, Shamar Joseph, and Jos Buttler could miss key IPL games if their national duties take priority. This overlap also narrows the gap before the WTC Final, which begins June 11 at Lord’s.
Franchises Begin Reassembling Squads
Franchises have started regrouping their teams. GT, who stayed back in Ahmedabad, may have a head start. MI, who resume play on May 21, also get extra preparation time. The IPL 2025 revised schedule ensures a dramatic run-in to the season’s finale.
