TATA IPL 2025 Schedule Announced: Full Fixtures, Venues & Key Dates Revealed!
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially unveiled the schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The highly anticipated 18th edition of the tournament is set to begin on March 22, 2025, with the grand Final scheduled for May 25, 2025. This season will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, including 12 double-headers, making it a thrilling two-month-long cricketing spectacle.
IPL 2025 Opening Match and Key Fixtures
The defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the opening match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 22. The first double-header day, March 23, will see Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the afternoon, followed by an epic clash between five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the evening at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Home Venues and Team Allocations
This season will see some teams splitting their home games across multiple venues:
- Delhi Capitals (DC) – Visakhapatnam & Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi
- Rajasthan Royals (RR) – Guwahati (2 matches) & Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
- Punjab Kings (PBKS) – New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh (4 matches) & Dharamsala (3 matches)

The IPL 2025 Playoffs will be held in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
