The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially unveiled the schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The highly anticipated 18th edition of the tournament is set to begin on March 22, 2025, with the grand Final scheduled for May 25, 2025. This season will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, including 12 double-headers, making it a thrilling two-month-long cricketing spectacle.
IPL 2025: Opening Match, Key Fixtures, and Playoff Venues
The excitement for IPL 2025 is at an all-time high as defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the opening match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 22. The first double-header of the season will take place on March 23. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the afternoon match, followed by an epic showdown between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
