Gaikwad’s Injury Confirmed Ahead of KKR Clash
Ruturaj Gaikwad sustained an elbow injury during CSK’s match against Rajasthan Royals on March 30. Although he managed to continue batting and even scored 63 runs in that game, further scans later revealed a fracture. CSK head coach Stephen Fleming confirmed the news ahead of their fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders.
According to Fleming, the injury was initially unclear. An MRI scan eventually detected a fracture in Gaikwad’s radial neck. Despite playing two more games after getting hit, the pain persisted, forcing his exit from the tournament.
