India will host the India vs Australia women’s ODI series in September 2025 as both teams prepare for the ICC Women’s World Cup. The matches are scheduled for September 14, 17, and 20 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This series plays a key role in the final build-up to the World Cup, which starts on September 29.

Chennai to Host All Matches Ahead of World Cup

The Chepauk Stadium will witness all three ODIs of the India vs Australia women’s ODI series. These games offer a competitive platform before the global tournament begins. Since both teams earned direct qualification, this series will help fine-tune their squads.

Crucial Build-Up for Women’s ODI World Cup 2025

Unlike other teams, India and Australia are familiar opponents. However, this time, the stakes are higher due to the upcoming World Cup. Meanwhile, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand also secured direct qualification. Pakistan and Bangladesh, on the other hand, reached the main event through qualifiers. Interestingly, due to an earlier agreement, Pakistan’s matches may be held at neutral venues.

India A to Host Australia A and South Africa A

Besides the main ODI series, India A will play host to Australia A and South Africa A in September, October, and November. First, Australia A will play two four-day matches in Lucknow starting September 16 and 23. Additionally, three one-dayers will follow in Kanpur from September 30 to October 5.

South Africa A Tour and Centre of Excellence Debut

South Africa A will arrive in November. Two red-ball matches will take place on November 2 and 9, followed by three one-dayers on November 13, 16, and 19. Notably, all fixtures will be held in Bengaluru. For the first time, the new BCCI Centre of Excellence will host official matches.
