Following a historic triumph at the Women’s World Cup 2025, the BCCI to give India women INR 51 crore cash prize for World Cup win. The board confirmed that the reward would be shared among players, support staff, and the selection committee. Additionally, the team will also receive USD 4.48 million (approximately INR 40 crore) as prize money from the ICC.

BCCI president Mithun Manhas congratulated the team, praising their determination and teamwork. “The resilience and talent shown by our players have lifted the spirit of the entire nation,” he said. “This victory reflects the faith and investment the BCCI has placed in developing a world-class women’s programme.”
India’s win against South Africa in the final marked a defining moment in Indian women’s cricket. In front of over 39,000 fans at DY Patil Stadium, Shafali Verma led with a brilliant 87 off 78 balls, while Deepti Sharma starred with a five-wicket haul, guiding India to a 52-run win.

India Women’s World Cup Journey
India’s road to victory included defeating defending champions Australia in the semi-final and overcoming South Africa’s challenge in the final. It was their first senior women’s world title, following previous runner-up finishes in 2005 and 2017.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia praised the team’s preparation and self-belief. “This achievement is the result of flawless execution and relentless hard work,” he said. “The entire cricketing fraternity is proud of these remarkable women.”
Future Commitments and Recognition
After their triumph, several players from the winning squad, including Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, Shafali Verma, Harleen Deol, and Amanjot Kaur, have been named in squads for the upcoming Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 Trophy starting November 4 in Nagaland.
Before that, the victorious team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on November 5 to celebrate their historic achievement.
