The 6th match of the GT20 Canada League on 28 July 2024 was an exciting fight between Montreal Tigers and Vancouver Knights at Brampton, Canada. In the tightly contested match, Montreal Tigers came out to be the winners of the battle by 10 runs.

Montreal Tigers’ Innings

Despite managing to score 134 runs in their 20 overs at a run rate of 6.70, the Vancouver Knights were 10 runs short of the target after losing 6 wickets. D Pretorius contributed a useful 31 runs from 20 balls, but DS Airee was the Knights’ best player, hammering 30 runs off just 15 balls. Nonetheless, the Knights’ endeavors proved insufficient to surpass the Tigers’ sum.

The Montreal Tigers’ disciplined performance with both bat and ball ensured they secured the win in this closely-fought battle. The Vancouver Knights, despite putting up a spirited chase, couldn’t bridge the gap and fell short by 10 runs.

This disciplined performance in the batting and bowling ensured that the Montreal Tigers won this nail-biting battle. Vancouver Knights put up a lot of fight in the chase but just could not pull the plug and fell short by runs.

Key Performances

The bowling performance was greatly dominated by the Montreal Tigers. Kaleem Sana bowled a pretty decent spell of 2 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs. But Aayan Afzal Khan turned out to be the star with the ball, returning an impressive 3 wickets for 15 runs off his 4 overs. His spell helped greatly in quelling the chase of the Vancouver Knights.
